Meditation enables us to find peace, fulfillment, and clarity of understanding by quieting our minds and looking inside ourselves. There are many different types of meditation.
Wendy has been practicing mindfulness meditation since 1994. Mindfulness meditation involves being fully in the present, noticing your breathing, thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations without judgment or attachment. When we live fully in the present moment, we become more calm and centered, and this feeling stays with us throughout the day.
Melanie practices self-guided meditation. She begins by giving herself suggestions for relaxation, much like in a normal hypnosis session. Then, she usually leads herself through meeting her Spirit Guides and works with them on whatever she would like guidance or help on. Melanie uses this for self-healing, self-discovery, general insight, and even developing psychic abilities. Melanie has found her connection with her Spirit Guides to be the most beneficial aspect of her spiritual development, and she seeks their guidance and insight daily.
There are also active types of meditation. Every activity you do can be a form of meditation if you are fully present and focused on that activity. You can meditate while running, cooking, cleaning the house, brushing your teeth, and any other activity. Just focus all of your attention on what you are doing at the time, being fully aware and present.
Melanie has written many articles about meditation on her website, MyMagicalJourney.com. If you would like to schedule a session with us to learn about meditation, please contact us. Meditation sessions are charged at the same rate as the hypnosis sessions.
