What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a natural state of being where your body is relaxed and your mind is focused.  In daily life, many of us are bogged down with mental chatter, the constant stream of thoughts that distracts us from the truth of who we are and how we feel.  In hypnosis, that chatter is quieted and you are able to connect with your subconscious mind, the storehouse of your memories, imagination, feelings, and beliefs.

We help guide you through your subconscious mind in order to get to the root of the issue you came for.  In other words, during the session you discover for yourself what memories, emotions, or beliefs are affecting the situation that caused you come in.  Then, we help guide you as you discover and make lasting changes in order to improve the quality of your life.  Through this journey, you will realize that there is a positive reason for everything you do.

All that is required to enjoy hypnosis is a sound mind and the desire to be hypnotized.  You are fully aware and in control at all times and able to terminate the session at any time.  All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. This means that you have complete control over your level of relaxation, what you say, what you do, and what you believe at all times.  You are ultimately responsible for your level of relaxation and the depth of the experience you get out of each session and each CD.

The amazing thing about hypnosis as a self-improvement tool is that it teaches you that you have the ability to change your life experience physically, emotionally, and mentally.


SCENARIO

Susan has been smoking for years. She feels bad about it and feels she should be able to stop, but no matter which method she uses, she always ends up smoking again. What Susan doesn’t realize is that subconsciously she associates the smell of cigarettes with the nurturing her mother, a smoker, provided to her as a child. Now that Susan’s an adult, whenever she feels stressed and needs to feel nurtured, she reaches for a cigarette.

Research shows that many illnesses are impacted by our emotions and attitudes both negatively and positively. Some of the conditions that react to emotions include heart disease, asthma, digestive problems, pain, diabetes, fatigue, cancer, immune diseases, infertility, headache, and other chronic conditions such as arthritis. With hypnosis and meditation, you can learn new ways to view your life and change your emotional state, thereby aiding in your recovery.

In addition, research shows that conditions such as depression and anxiety can be exacerbated by the ways you react to the demands of daily living. If you are trying to recuperate from traumatic experiences ranging from abusive situations to accidents or fearful medical encounters, meditation and hypnosis can help.
Hypnosis can be used to help any condition, illness, or disease.  Any condition you experience can be helped in some way with hypnosis.

PREGNANCY & CHILDBIRTH

Preparing for and having a new baby brings forth many emotions and experiences for every person in the family. Hypnosis can be used to help build healthy relationships between family members and with the new baby before the baby is born. We know that the baby feels the emotional environment and the feelings the parents have about having a baby while in utero. That is why creating a safe, loving, and supportive atmosphere during the pregnancy is so important.

One of the well-known uses for hypnosis during childbirth is to have a pain-free childbirth using the subconscious mind to create natural anesthesia. It can also be used to relieve symptoms of morning sickness and other physical issues that present themselves during the pregnancy. As always when using hypnosis to deal with a medical issue, a note from your doctor consenting to the use of hypnosis to help with the issue is required.

If you are having trouble conceiving, hypnosis can help you determine if there is an emotional reason or subconscious programming behind the inability to get pregnant. This can be helpful for the male and the female.

If you have experienced the loss of a child, you can use hypnosis to talk with the child and to heal the emotions accompanying the loss.

Hypnosis is beneficial in many ways to make the experience of pregnancy and childbirth even more enjoyable and magical.

CHILDREN

Hypnosis is a great tool to use with children because they tend to use their subconscious minds easily and often. Imagination, daydreaming, and creating are all activities of the subconscious mind. Sessions with children are usually 45 minutes long and encourage and utilize creativity and imagination. The amazing thing about working with children is that changing their subconscious programming while they are young helps them create meaningful and enriching lives as they grow into adulthood.

Hypnosis sessions for children are about bringing out and appreciating their natural, unique personalities and abilities. They realize their ability to heal themselves and enhance the quality and enjoyment they get out of their lives.

An important consideration when choosing hypnosis for children is the home environment they will be going back to after their sessions. It is very important that their caregivers encourage the gains made in each session. That is why a session is scheduled with the caregivers first in order to explain how they can aid in the child’s progress.

Caregiver commitment is essential in order for the child to get the most out of the hypnosis sessions. It is also important to have time to build rapport between the child and hypnotist. Depending on the needs of the child, a three – to – five session minimum commitment is required before sessions begin.

MEMORY RECALL

The subconscious mind holds all memories and experiences. Through hypnosis, you can access your subconscious mind to find important lost objects, learn and remember material for an exam, regress to heal past experiences, and learn from past lives.

Memory recall may be used if you feel that something from your past may be affecting your current experience of life. We recognize that some events of the past may be emotional to deal with. It may take some time before you are comfortable experiencing past events, and that is okay. The important thing to know about our sessions is that you are in control of what happens at all times.
